IDE/USB adapter was used to try and copy data after user was terminated. The adapter was defective and caused the drive to stop functioning.

Unable to access the drive. When booting up one morning the laptop said unable to read from drive, and it couldn’t even display the XP logo. I used HD clone to try to mirror the disk onto another disk, and I got the same message 'unable to read from drive'. Then I gave it to a company from Mississauga, they pretended to read 1/4 of the drive and then gave me back the drive saying the couldn't read more. I think they did not open it, but they mentioned something about a clicking noise, which definitely wasn't there initially.

• I just received the DVDs this morning. Thank you for your service. I really appreciate your hard work on the drive, I got my files back and it feels so wonderful that all the pain is behind in the past. You guys rock!
