Drive became inaccessible, without giving any prior warnings. Just stop showing. Tried to reboot a few times - no results. Took to IT department, they run some diagnostic and recommended to take it to data recovery service. I have too many work projects on this drive that I can't afford to lose, I could recreate them but it'd take me months of work and I have deadlines. Please HELP!

Maxtor 6H500R0 500 GB external

The drive started experiencing 'failed Writes' while copying files to it. It then started clicking noises and was not recognized by the operating system. I sent the drive to Seagate Recovery Services and they said they could fix it but I could not afford the estimated price and they returned it to me. So, it has been opened but has all original parts.
