Before shipping your failed hard drive make sure it has original parts, especelly circuit board (PCB).

 

Regardless the condition of the PCB (missed/burned elements), the hard drive must have its own original one.

If you finish with online order, you can log in to your profile (use Job Tracker button) and get access to all related to you job information, including printable shipping instruction page for chosen shipping location. Also, our internal data recovery online system allows you to obtain the latest shipping and delivery status, payment balance, and, of course, the current data recovery status of your order.

We strongly recommend printing the shipping instructions from your profile, because they may vary by location and change over time.

Here is the basic shipping information about how to ship your failed data storage our data recovery lab.

  • To ship a BARE hard drive ONLY: Remove all accessories and/or spare parts. Some examples of accessories are: adapters, cables, cases, controller cards, face-plates, literature, manuals, mounting brackets, power supply, side rails, software etc. unless instructed otherwise.
  • To ship the WHOLE unit (external enclosure, laptop computer, etc.) include all necessary accessories and software, such as: adapters, cables, cases, controller cards, face-plates, literature, manuals, mounting brackets, power supply, side rails, software etc.
  • Preferable packaging: Enclose the drive in an ESD (electrostatic discharge) bag or in an anti-static plastic shell (SeaShell), or wrap in the aluminum foil. Secure the unit in the center of a sturdy box with the styrofoam or bubble wrap around all sides. If packaging more than one drive, use a separate container for each drive.
  • We recommend shipping the hard drives via air service to minimize handling during delivery, such as UPS Express / UPS Expedited or FedEx Express / FedEx Economy services, although you may ship via the carrier of your choice.
  • Enclose a printed copy of your order in the package along with a failed hard drive and ship to Data-R-Us Lab
